To: VISION and RxWizard support personnel and managers
We are writing to inform you of upcoming security enhancements to the dvirx.com and rxwizardonline.com web sites: the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and password recovery through a verified email address.
The security enhancements, along with a number of other new features, will go live in November 2025. Implementation of MFA and password recovery are encouraged but not required; however, all accounts with an associated email address must verify that email address on RxWizardOnline.
A short FAQ going over the upcoming changes is below.

RxWizardOnline Security Update FAQ
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA adds an extra layer of security when you log in to your account. Instead of just a password, login to MFA-enabled accounts requires a code provided by an authenticator app that has been synced with your account. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account, even if your password is compromised.
What will verifying my email do?
Verifying your email address will allow you to recover/reset your own password without additional support.
When does the new web site go live?
MFA setup and password recovery through a verified email address will go live at https://www.rxwizardonline.com at the beginning of November 2025.
A beta version of RxWizardOnline implementing these and other new features is currently available at https://beta.rxwizardonline.com. Changes to MFA setup made prior to November will only apply to the beta software until November.
What do you need to do?
MFA and having a recovery email are not mandatory, but are recommended security enhancements. When the new RxWizardOnline goes live in November 2025, lab accounts, “broker” accounts, and customer service representative accounts should be enabled for MFA. Email addresses must be verified. ECPs should be encouraged to complete these steps as well. Any ECP accounts with an email address associated with them must verify that email address on RxWizardOnline.
Where can I find instructions?
Instructions for the MFA setup and password recovery processes are available here: https://thedvi.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/RxWizard-Password-Reset-and-MFA-Process.pdf.
What other features will be implemented with the update?
In addition to authentication upgrades, the new version of RxWizardOnline incorporates the following additional features:
- Inquiry page
- responsiveness improved through paging (default page size 10)
- cosmetic enhancements
- Rx entry page
- frame color codes show in dropdown menus, searchable
- collection dropdown shows collections for all manufacturers if vendor field is blank
- frames that don’t have an assigned collection show under a “collection” based on the vendor name
- Setup page
- account merge function (for ECPs that have been given accounts by multiple labs)
- ability to view current catalog version and / or force a refresh
- ability to change account name
- Enterprise Inquiry allows specifying a “broker designated lab” – this simplifies catalog maintenance for labs using Enterprise Inquiry functions by removing the need for a separate catalog build system
Note that some of the features require a VISION release and catalog update for implementation.
