VISION
VISION offers modules for job sorting, Rx processing, accounts receivable, inventory management, order tracking and sorting, production and management reporting, and robust interfaces with laboratory equipment and digital surfacing solutions. Some of the features that set VISION apart from other lab management solutions include:
The Combobulator
The heart of the order-entry process – Sorting, Routing, and Generating Tray Numbers
DVI’s award-winning Combobulator program brings in orders from remote ordering systems and lab entry, then sorts them according to logic customized to your lab. Jobs are sorted, stored, and processed according to the criteria that optimizes your lab’s workflow:
- Jobs entering the lab are sorted into queues according to custom criteria. These queues can then take various actions—simple jobs may be automatically put into process without review, while more complex jobs can wait for review before entering the lab floor.
- The job queues can sort by jobs that need to be outsourced, according to custom criteria. These queues can then automatically send those jobs to the outsource lab, minimizing handling of the job. When that job returns from the outsource lab, it’s trayed up and completed as normal.
- As labs rely on more automated functions, managing pre–numbered trays becomes counterproductive. Jobs that don’t need to be physically trayed up are assigned an appropriate tray number through AGT, allowing routing, short ordering, status updates, and more. This allows work to proceed without filling a wall rack with multi–colored and empty numbered trays.
Digital Surfacing/SWEEP
Integrate digital surfacing into your workflow
Integrating digital surfacing is a major challenge for labs. DVI’s award-winning digital surfacing software helps your lab process “free–form,” and expands your product offering without disruption.
- DVI’s patented SWEEP process lets your lab digitally enhance any lens by adding an aspheric rear surface, easily generate slab–offs, and create customized round and blended seg bifocals.
- VISION integrates digital surfacing into your lab’s existing workflow parameters. DVI works with lens and equipment manufacturers to develop robust integration with modern blockers, generators, laser engravers, and polishers. Currently DVI is interfaced with Carl Zeiss, Crossbows, Essilor, Horizons, HOYA, IOTA, Nikon, OptoTech (OptoCalc 4.0), Seiko, Shamir, Signet Armorlite, and VSP Unity digital processes.
Accounts Receivable
Track, summarize, analyze and describe all your transactions
DVI’s Accounts Receivable is a set of programs designed to track, summarize, analyze and describe all accounts receivable transactions. These details go into monthly statements and daily, weekly and monthly reports. Each account is assigned an account number under which all payments, adjustments and balances are stored. All transactions are done on an account basis; no transactions are made against global accounts. This helps to ensure each account is properly tracked.
